I last night implemented some (long awaited) changes to how album reviews are published on CLUAS. As of last night readers will be able to:

-> Add comments to all new album reviews published on CLUAS, and also
-> Subscribe to an RSS feed for the album review section.

The RSS feed possibility is particularly interesting. By subscribing to the CLUAS RSS feed you will be able to keep track of the latest album reviews published on CLUAS from the comfort of your preferred RSS reader, and doing so without even needing to visit the CLUAS site. If you haven't already tried to use RSS technologies, give it a whirl. To get started just click the icon below.

Anyway all this is now possible thanks to the new technology platform (DotNetNuke) that the website was moved to (with much protracted pain) last November. That pain is now turning into some gain.

One other nifty thing the new arrangement allows for is that new reviews can be published by the CLUAS writers without the need for me to manually post the reviews, as has been the case in the past (resulting often in considerable delays between when the article is submitted to me by the writer and published by me to the site). From a reader's point of view this means that album reviews will get published much more quickly and regularly to the site than in the past.

In due course I will set up the gig reviews section to be like the new upgraded album section. Watch this space, etc.
