    some great tunes. Surprised theres so much reggae, but thats no bad thing. Comprehensive, brilliant, not too cliched. i like it!

    Thanks for posting that Daragh, some very interesting stuff there. Once I started reading I found myself unable to stop 'til I got to number 1. Made me want to go back and check out more of the Kinks, Ben E. King and The Meters.

    yeah its a great list isn't it? Brilliant for remembering old tunes as well, had me rooting out Nina Simone for "Sinnerman" and some Dennis Dekker too.

    Got a quality compilation from it too, Studio One Story. (all the studio one compilations seem to be brilliant though!)

    have to root out the kinks too, and dont know much about the meters, one of my mates reckons they are the perfect band though, so have to hop on that bandwagon!
