OK, this recommendations a bit old school but I was a big fan of hers back in the day. I thought it was an appropriate recommendation because she has a great new album out called "How to Walk Away" and she's playing the sugar club this saturday. If you get the chance this weekend, go check her out, it's gonna be a great gig and possibly the last chance that you'll get to see her in ireland. She's talking of retiring from music

haven't been in the sugar club in about 4 or 5 years. i remember it being ok before. kind of nice and intimate. tiered seating and all that craic. i don't know how it works for gigs as opposed to nightclubs and the like. all the same, i'm looking forward to this. apparently she's been releasing albums herself independently for the last 10 or more years. didn't find that out til recently

this was a really great gig after. i don't know how you can hate the sugar club. any venue that gives you table service is alright with me. probably the most comfortable gig i've ever been at! i wish they were all like this
