Hey, just wondering what people think of their new album "Challangers". Just giving it a first listen and i like what I hear so far. It seems a little darker than their last. No signs of any Irish gig dates though which is a disappointment.

I found it to be less immediate Pornographers record. It's certainly poppy but doesn't have killer tunes like Sing Me Spanish Techno... They're a great band though.
I've seen them live twice. Once on a double bill at the Koko club in London with Spoon. Was fabulous. The second was at the Gaelic Club in Sydney and they were one of the LOUDEST bands I've ever heard. And it just didn't suit them.

I haven't heard it yet but I can't wait to get my hands on it. As for tour dates in Dublin they are playing Whelans on Saturday 17 November. Tickets are already on sale on ticketmaster although they are not available from WAV yet it seems. Agains fingers crossed it doesn't get moved to another venue but I think it might be inevitable.
