For those of you who remember how brilliant Whipping Boy were or those interested in finding out, you can now read more about them at www.valentine69.com. There are lyrics, tabs, photos, interviews and more. Check it out, if only to never live in doubt.

He had a band called 'Shadow Cabinet' going in 2000 and early 2001. I remember seeing them at the Stables in Mullingar last Jan/Feb. A bunch of us travelled down to see it, great gig - pure bedlam. I think all the band were out of it on pills but it was real raw Iggy and the Stooges-style garage rock. Someone told me Ferghal's working as a chef somewhere in Dublin. Haven't seen nor heard of Shadow Cabinet since that gig.

Thanks for your comments people. The pre-Submarine stuff is difficult to get a hold of. Most of it was gotten by regularly checking e-bay to see if any Whipping Boy material was up for auction. Be prepared to shell out for it though if someone else has their eye on it at the same time. Heartworm (ridiculously enough) goes for as little as a cent but Submarine itself sells for considerably more. If nothing shows up after a while register as a member on the Yahoo Group (there's a link on the site). If you post a request there some kind soul may get back to you with an offer. All the best.
