Sat Nov 5th Retro Revival Club presents
House Of Dolls w/ Dea d School (Cork) + The Northern Drones & Free Sunshine Acid
@ Sweeneys Bar Dame St Dublin
    Doors: 9pm Adm: €5

HOUSE OF DOLLS: Influenced by everything from Spiritualized to The Icarus Line the noise made by Dublin's House Of Dolls is bad to the bone hard edged psychedelia. Epic build-ups, darkened grooves and glorious vocal melodies comprise their sound. Still very much a new band, House Of Dolls front with the maturity of a group who have occupied the dark spaces that their music takes you, and whose sophisticated list of influences, although notable could never outshine the raw passion of their recordings or live show. http://www.reverbnation.com/houseofdolls#!

DEAD SCHOOL: What if Ian Curtis had been on speed instead of caning downers? In an alternate reality, Dead School may be writing an album in a similar orbit but different solar system to Unknown Pleasures.

They have a rapidly growing fan base and have also attracted the interest of various record labels. Their live show is something special, it is full of raw energy, swirling guitars, pounding drums and unique vocals, these elements combined with their broad range of influences ranging from My Bloody Valentine and Killing Joke to Joy Division and Sonic Youth combine to create an original and exciting sound

The post-punk terrain has been covered before, but Dead School bring elements of this sound kicking and screaming into 2011. You’ve been warned. http://breakingtunes.com/deadschool

THE NORTHERN DRONES: The Northern Drones sound like the Flamin' Groovies having a hallucinogenic-enhanced jam, circa 1967. The Northern Drones specialize in ramshackle, head spinning psych-ram lama with a grand sense of fecklessness to the sound. http://www.thenortherndrones.com/

FREE ACID SUNSHINE: Formerly known as The New Creatures & taking influence from such bands as B.R.M.C, The Brian Jonestown Massacre & The Libertines “Free Acid Sunshine” unleash their brand of Neo Psychedelia Rock upon us. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Free-...084?ref=ts
