Quite an idiosyncratic choice of best 20 of the year. http://observer.guardian.co.uk/omm/story/0,,1966639,00.html Amy Winehouse at 5? I found Lambchop's latest offering a real snoozefest. The Killers, Mastodon, The Feeling!! People... let me know if I'm going mad or is this just a deliberately obtuse (though, I will admit, intriguing) list.

Well everyone has been raving about Amy Winehouses new one. The Feeling listing though must make a mockery of the whole list!!! Lilly Allen at number 10? can't say i've listened to that

I've not heard it but even non-metal fans I know have been raving about the Mastodon album.

I just heard the opening track off Back to Black by Amy Winehouse... and I must admit, it's fabulous! It's been a while since I've heard such a sassy tune, certainly influenced by Aretha. I am now intrigued and will pick this album up on the way home. Isn't that the beauty of these end of year lists that just continually get slagged off?!
