I will get lynched and I should say now that I do, personally, like the album. However, if they were really any use wouldn't they have been signed by now? By being of "any use" I mean "commercial enough to be signed". By making this statement I'm assuming they have not turned down a conventional deal and are releasing the record independently by choice. To keep digging this hole, my experience is that A & R people rarely miss an act and let it slip through the cracks. The Loose have a huge profile here yet that hasn't been sufficient for a record company to sign them. It makes me wonder and if I was them it would make me question (a) the management that is in place and (b) where this is all ultimately leading. However, if I was in the Loose today I probably wouldn't be thinking either of those things I'd just be riding the crest of a wave (albeit a small ripple more than a wave) and enjoying the party while it lasted. Remember, its just an opinion!

They had a One Album deal with Big Cat. Tomb of the Juice made little impact. It was only with the release of 'comeback girl' (independently released) that they've made a name for themselves.

Industry grapevine in the UK has it that the RoL have been offered some very interesting deals (mostly indies) but they havent taken up any of them because their manager seems to want a big ol' money deal. They've impressed loads of A&Rs because of their sell-out live shows over here (especially one last year in The Village which had people in raptures) and because they had the Oasis manager Marcus Russell talking enthusiastically to people about them. But while the deals have been offered, the band have been very sniffy about them. A pity because they're one of the few Irish acts who could actually do great things away from here.
