Jan - you know what I mean, stop pretending to be offended, sure I've heard of a couple of those bands but wouldn't be massively familiar with their stuff because you can't keep track of every single indie rock band out there, niche bands maybe? happy now?

Any good? Haven't listened to any Jazz in ages, except Herbie Hancock. Sort of went through a phase in my early mid twenties of trying to discover good Jazz stuff, John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, etc. but these days I find I just can't really listen to it. Maybe I'm just getting lazy, maybe I was trying too hard to like it in the first place.

i'm really listening to quite a lot at the moment... i think that i hadn't acquired the taste at all in my twenties and suddenly it's all making sense in the last few years...

i'm convinced i've arrived at the appreciation by listening to a lot of free improv stuff in the rock and folk genres... there is a crossover...

the two ornette coleman albums i have are amongst my very favourite...

'Pictures of Matchstick Men' is a GREAT song and there's some great guitar s**t going on on 'Down, down, deeper and down' or whatever the f**k it's called.
