Really good gig, Beck was brilliant, I love Guero so it was good to hear some of the songs from it live. The puppets he had on stage were great and the little skit on the puppets going around Dublin was very funny. The band had a little dinner party on stage and used all the glasses and plates as percussion instruments, think that was the highlight of his set for me. Radiohead were on top form as well, from what i rememember they played Spinning Plates, Karma Police, Creep to finish, Bangers and Mash, My Iron Lung, Lucky, Pyramid Song, 2+2=5 and more!! The stage show was great, they had what looked like broken fragments of glass stuck up on the back of the stage to show the videos. Thom's voice sounded really good too and with the perfect weather for it, it made for a great concert.

Puppets were funny alright. Not mad about Beck's set tho, a bit too heavy on Guero and the new one for me. I saw the dinner table thing last year but it's always welcome! That puppet video was hilarious. "Muthafukkin leprechauns n s**t". Radiohead were faultless as usual I thought. Thom in fine voice, great on How To Disappear... Like the new stuff too. Anyone catch Deerhoof? Didnt know too much about them before hand. Enjoyable but silly i thought.

Deerhoof... i duno.. i reckon the whole set sounded like a rehersal... didnt like them at all. Beck was ok.. puppets were funny alright. As for radiohead.. I duno. Faultless..maybe, but im coming to the opinion that radioheads music just hasnt aged well... i felt slightly bored at it to be honest..

I thought Deefhoof were great, I never liked them on record but loved them last night. Really regret not seeing them in the Music Centre on Thursday night. Beck, very cool, I realised just before he went on stage that I'd never seen him live before, I've been missing out. Puppets, wonderful. Radiohead were amazing, 7th time seeing them and probably the second best gig I've seen of theirs. With the exception of Bodysnatchers they played the cream of the new stuff too, I've been waiting 6 years to hear a finalised, recorded, version of Nude so I'm very optimistic about the version that's going to be on the album.

It would be wrong to say all of it, but theres large sections of their music, the bends, kid A which i just dont really listen to anymore, having been a real fan, because it just slightly bores me now. I suppose its just that ive moved on in my musical tastes... So why did i go see them again, well, nostaligic reasons i suppose. On the setup itself. I thought the toilets were a disaster. and the food selection wasnt great either

I thought it was excellent. And I was happy to see Radiohead changed from the set I saw them play 2 weeks ago at the sziget festival. In Budapest they played a much more festival-friendly set including Fake Plastic Trees, Planet Telex and Street Spirit... but no Creep. It being there own gig they made it more interesting for themselves here, Id like to know the name of that new tune (I think it was new anyway) - It consisted primarily of alotta bass, piano and Thoms vocals were great... Is that Videotape Unicron? Really enjoyed Beck also, except typically I chose to head for the toilet just as one of my favourite tunes began, Golden Age. Beck didnt look great himself.

"define being a "real fan" scratch that.. meant being a fan as in buying the cds and going to the gigs. duno why i put the real in front of it..tiredness maybe.. it definitely was for any of the "well im a real fan as ive seen em a billion times blah, blah" stuff.. Though i can see how that perception might arise..

Great gig, they were on top form alright. The new songs especially sound amazin...videotape is unreal...the older stuff sounded good too but just didn't do it for me anymore. Maybe it was the drunk muppet in front of me singing every word outta key and outta time..

Amazing gig, loved every minute. Managed to get pit pass and the views of the stage were excellent. Beck was also great. Deerhoof, good but agree with earlier comment, a bit silly.

Very good gig, as good as any of the other time I've seen them, Beck was great too and the marionettes were class, really made the show for me. I do have to say it annoys me that a band I like so much can draw so many idiots, guy beside me keep holding his head in both his hands and then lifting one or both hands into the air as if he was witnessing some sort of divine moment, he was like this right from the moment airbag started and anytime I looked over he was doing the same thing. I think he had decided weeks ago that this was going to be the most magical and spiritual moment of his life, although thinking about it he may just have been pilled off his face but I'm going to stick to my original conclusion. I saw them in Sziget two weeks ago, they changed the set quite a bit and I thought they were much better last night. I really don't see the need to cheer the line "I float down the Liffey", I don't understand the mentality of the cheerers at all.

The first new song that Thom was playing piano on was videotape, not the one that he started out standing beside the piano playing occasional notes, I'm not sure what that one is called, hadn't heard it before.

That line obviously indicated Radiohead will be cheering for the Dubs on Sunday.

Maybe the thought of Thoms dead body floating down the Liffey excites some people!

Anyone think that Thom's kit on Bangers and Mash was inspired by the fella from Deerhoof (who really needs to buy a new kit, cymbols at least)

New Member - seen Radiohead a few months ago in Boston and found that the setlist hadn't really changed from when they were touring in 03 bar (bar the new stuff obviously). Couldn't make last night as out of the country the last few years, but good to see that they are varying things again, to finish with Creep is amazing and gives a good indication where Yorke and the band are at at the moment, completely comfortable with the status they struggled so long to cope with. Definitely the most important band in living memory. Rant over

Really enjoyed all aspects of Beck's set.. Was just a tad disappointed in Radiohead though, I thought it sounded a bit sterile or something. They played far too many of their older The Bends and OK Comuter stuff and they may have well have just played the CDs for the amount of life that was in them to be honest. All in all though, pretty darn tootin' good.

Aaaargh there was one of those guys in front of me as well. He barely moved throughout the whole of Beck's said then suddenly went nuts when Thom Yorke came on stage. I seriously thought he was going to start crying and praying to him as some sort of divine presence... I wonder was it the same guy?

I was expecting them to play i alright as theyd finished the previous 4 dates with it but still a bit disapointed nonetheless. Not because its Creep or anything but because I would have preferred 'I might be wrong' or numerous other songs. Im not so sure if they were completely 'comfortable' with it as much as its a regrudging acceptance of the song as a fans fave though at this stage. The lines 'whatever makes you happy, whatever you want' made me laugh though. maybe thats just me...

Well, the guys beside me decided to mosh to Paranoid Android - this was after they'd been trying to stroke my mate's face, taken speed, and proceeded to puke in front of us. That and two other guys just peed in place without even trying to cover it up. Nice. We kept moving away, but they seemed to keep following us. Hmm. Not a good sign that... :) A lot of fans alright who seemed to want to be spiritualised by the whole thing. But the gig wasn't like that - it was very straightforward and to the word from the albums - very little, if any, playing around with any of the songs. Good crowd pleasers, but just seemed a little tired and lack lustre. Beck, was great, as I said in other post, but I noticed is suddenly to me looking old. Or is it me that's looking old and seeing myself reflected. Hm. ais.

Deerhoof - It didnt grab me at all to be honest. I felt it was in a sense too thought through forumlaic but alot of people enjoyed and I dont listen to much this type of rock anymore so maybe I have lost touch with it but it wasnt that great. Beck - Great show interesting and compelling Radiohead - the friends I went with are rock heads they wanted to hears the bends etc etc what they got was a sonic treat I loved it for what it was. I agree their was very little interaction but I am not a huge fan so I wasnt looking for recognition. I did think the few comments that were made by Mr Yorke to be a little something hmmmm. I dont know I am not able to put my finger on it but when he said "god forgive you" it just set me thinking what was that in relation to? Enjoyed the evening but for me Daft Punk was it.

There's no need to be so cynical.(dont know if thats the rite spelling) i thought the gig was great and think ur silly for puttin sumone down coz they enjoyed it. would u rather they were looking at their feet and swaying side to side taking a drag of a fag every 3 seconds (a la south park)???? and the reason people cheered when he said float down the liffey was because everyone (with some exceptions....feet-watchers and such) just wanted some reason to cheers more to the band. I thought that was quite obvious
