did anyone manage to get to the gig? i dont want to sound too cliche, but it was very intense. the silence between songs. . . f**king amazing. i felt on edge for the entire gig, like something terrible was about to happen. very odd indeed. dont think ive ever been at a gig like it.

I didn't like the silence between the songs, I thought that it prevented the gig from finding momentum. However, when it was good it was REALLY, REALLY good. "We're too cool to admit that we're having a god time" ... I love that guy.

Personal opinion: didn't think the gig was great. Fairly pretentious stuff.

deadly gig! fans of the band could not be dissapointed, i think. they played every track from spiderland.i could not believe how similar they were to the recordings, right down to silly details like the noise at the end of "don, aman". michael sat through the whole song at a volume pedal in order to add that couple of seconds of noise. the lighting was really theatrical alright, and i thought for a minute that they were going to launch into an ac/dc tune! i was right up the front. the guy shouted "ac/dc"! they looked at eachother. the bass player played a bit of a riff, they looked some more.they thought. they declined. would have been great! the reverence during the first song("for dinner...",which is really quiet and beautiful) was spooky. and waiting room were fantastic as support.
