Bono recently said that the price of the wonderful life that he and the rest of U2 have is that they don't make crap albums. My question is...is the new album a downpayment on their future happiness or will they have to handle their beautiful life back ?

Bang or Bust? For me, its a bang. Defintely a grower that gets better with every listen. As an album, it has everything.

ya thinky so too.. I think in a few months time we'll all have digested it and be humming the tunes on the way to work. U2 know us all to well.. they keep making albums that just persist in getting into the blood stream dont they!

As the bould Eamon Dunphy might say ( other than "I'm not f**king queer !! " ) it's a good album, it's not a great album. Vertigo, Miracle Drug, Sometimes You Can't Make It...., and All Because of You are cracking tunes. The rest are good but in my humble opinion it's not up there with any of the "classic" U2 albums ( i.e. Boy, Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree, Achtung Baby.) And I say this as a hardcore fan from Ye Olde Dandelion Market Days.
