I bet that he said that with a straight face. But was really joking. Becasue that's his sense of humour. But people will take it out of context and call him a twat. When really people should call him that becasue of the scribbling in his hand thing. Shit music though.

Actually I just thought it was surprising to hear him say he has so much respect for those bands. I would not have had him down for a Sigur Rós fan. Yes the 7th best band in the world thing was probably a bit of a piss-take

In the few snippets of coversation I've heard from him, he's always sounded like he'd rather be in one of those bands.

Ah, the classic "our last album sold 10 million copies but I'd much rather be in a 'cool' band" gambit. I'm sure he'll cry himself to sleep on a pilow stuffed full of cash. Or Gwyneth Paltrow.
