    hey was wonder does anybody know if tom waits is playing here...he mentions on his press realse that he's gonna be touring from spain to dublin.....when i was on my facebook on the ilike application it says he's touring when i clicked on the link for tour dates in ur area thing said he was playing in the acdemy in october...clicked on the ticketmaster link said error...link not in service or something like that


    ok just tried the ilike thing again says he's playin The Academy from the 20th to the 26th of october.....cant wait...probably gonna be about €200 a ticket and sell out in 3 seconds but hope i get a ticket

    damm.......was reading on the blog on the times that...maybe Three nights in a marquee to be pitched in either the RDS or the Phoenix Park in early August.

    One of his American dates is $82 per ticket. Thats pretty expensive for a concert on home soil.
    Don't be surprised if he rips off the Europeans aswell.

    just over £40 sterlings to see Tom Waits, thats not bad, ticket prices in the US can be fairly feisty. As regards ripping off Europeans, I'd say they'll be a stark markup in ticket price between anywhere else in Europe and Ireland.

    ...and surely Tom ultimately has the final say. If he suspects the promoters are taking too big a chunk and his fans are being ripped off, then at the least complain, at most threaten to not play.

    Stuart Clark was on Matt Cooper talking about the tent a week or two ago - apparantly, it's been designed by Tom Waits himself, with the design based around his last album.

    (Not that I've any interest in seeing the oul growler!)
