Right, that last list was from my work laptop which only has 2GB of stuff on an SD card. This one is from Home PC so should be more interesting 1. Moby - look back in Not a great start 2. Georgie James - Need your Needs I've never listened to this before, downloaded it as part of the SXSW 2007 Torrent, it's pretty unspectacular *delete* 3. Blessed Ethel - Fat Star Never listened to this one either, singer sounds a bit like Justine Frischmann from Elastica, I have no idea where this came from. 4. Marvin Gaye - Inner City Blues Yay! something recognizable 5. The Field Mice - when you sleep Another one I've not listened to yet, but at least I actually deliberately purchased this. Too many MP3s, not enough time!

This could go either way....haven't updated my iPod in a while despite having lots of new stuff. 1. Fall Out Boy - Bang the Doldrums. (Oh good lord. Never let a fifteen year old anywhere near your PC) 2. Manic Street Preachers - My Guernica. This sounds horrible, crap album mostly. 3. Pixies - Hang Wire. That's better. 4. Yeah Yeah Yeahs- Turn Into. Great Track 5. Midlake - In This Camp. Twee, but I like them..

Lilac Wine, Jeff Buckley So far so good 4.Modern Romance, Yeah yeah yeahs Hidden tracks on the end of an album are the enemy of MP3 players!!! 5. Lawernce, Ks, Josh Ritter A bit of a throw back but still a good tune. Great idea for a thread by the by.

I have a strict 'no cheese' policy when downloading or ripping tracks to iPod. Each track has to be genuinely good and stand up to repeated plays, so only the 'cream' of each album is ripped (two dairy analogies there - woo-hoo!), no crappy songs, no cheese, no songs that make you reach for the skip button. I suppose it's good to have some 'cheese' on your Ipod as some people don't like to put all their 'eggs in one basket' but that's not me. I don't want to be 'milking' the dairy theme here but listening to my all time favourite tracks on my iPod I feel like the 'cat that's got the cream'. Ok, I'll stop now.

But doesn't that feel a little homogenised? baddum-tsh! Ah I know what you're getting at, I don't have an iPod, because I'd rarely ever use it. I listend to music in three places, home, where I have proper speakers, work, where I have my own private office and don't need headphones, and the car, which has a stereo which plays MP3s of memory cards or USB sticks. The only place I'm selective about playlists is choosing stuff for the car, because it's a convertible and everyone else can hear what rubbish taste I have in music. I mean the hairdresser jokes are bad enough without having girls aloud blasting out...

It's eight years old too, saying you have a convertible sounds impressive, but in reality cost less than many peoples little hatcbacks. Ssssh! don't tell anyone...

Don't wanna wee all over Unas 80s fantasy, but they're supposed to be sorta pants. Google John Delorean though, possibly one of the most rock'n'roll stories in car making. Underdog kid done good, drugs, conspiracy, it's got everything. Er.. ok...we were supposed to be talking about iPods or something?

The Beach Boys - Getcha Back Cast - Four Walls Space - Spiders Thin Lizzy - Still In Love With You Guns N' Roses - It's So Easy Think I mostly got off the hook there, cos there's definitely some rubbish on my Ipod. With 80 gigs to fill you find yourself nosing through the parents and siblings s**te music collections. Some Christmas tunes in there as well.. Morto...
