Not really been in the mood to listen to albums, just lots of individual tracks, Otis Redding has featured heavily. Right now I'm listening to Nightwish - Nemo Over the top symphonic metal is not generally my thing, but I'm digging it, really!

Small hours with Donal Dineen on the Today FM website after I finally copped that it only works in Internet Exploder and not Firefox or other hippy alterna-browsers. Anyway, it plays, I finally get to listen to it while awake. Woo-hoo!

Portishead~'Third' Brilliant album yet one of the bleakest, most uncompromising albums I've heard in a while...They make Tindersticks sound like the Blizzards. Even darker than their last 2 efforts..unsettling, challenging and very tough-going.

He was a contemporary of Fantana's in the San Diego 'New Alt-Folk' scene of the late Seventies. His debut 'WHAMMY!!!' is a masterpiece but an experimental follow-up 'Dorothy Mantooth's Seafood Dinner' didn't fare as well and Champ spiraled down into a drink and drugs-fuelled depression before finding Jesus and returning to his old job as a sports presenter for a local San Diego TV channel.

WHAMMY - classic...rumours around the greater St Diego area at the time lent to the belief that the great Champ indeed once took the sprightly Mrs Mantooth out, showed her an amazing time and never called her after...wow with being a learned observer of this era, you'll be familiar with Brick Tamla-motowns - I love lamp & The Burg - Scotchie Scotch Scotch(down into my belly)

Posted By Ally on 15 May 2008 8:17 AM binokular, i presume you know ellen allien is playing spy... Yeah, in typical easily confused by simple things fashion, I thought she was playing the 15th, which would have been a bad night for me, but only today realised it was the 16th, though I already had tickets to see Ladytron on the 16th so was at that instead. No matter, the Ladytron gig was class, and who knows, maybe I'll catch her playing in Germany sometime.
