Sons and Daughters - This Gift
Mary Margaret O'Hara - Miss America - been meaning to get around to buying this one for years.

    This Will Destroy You 'S/T'

    Absolutely f**king mindblowing

Haven't bought any new music or even taken this cd out for the last 2 or 3 weeks. Probably spend all of March listening to it as well.

New Nick Cave is really worth checking out. He leaves me cold sometimes and i wouldn't be an ardent disciple but this is a belter.

I agree. Love that Krauss/Plant album.

Jimmy Buffett - 'The Asshole Song' (somehow the lyrics seem quite relevant)

    "Were you born an asshole?
Or did you work at it your whole life?
Either way it worked out fine
    'cause you're an asshole tonight.

    Yes you're an asshole
And don't you try to blame it on me.
    You deserve all the credit."

    It's pure country. Not as good a tune though as Bobby Bare's "Drop Kick Me Jesus (Through the Goalposts of Life) ;

Glad to be of service! You have to check out the video I posted on the "Kids' Rock" thread - it's f**king hilarious. Ever wanted to hear Metallica do "B.I.N.G.O."? Or Coldplay do "Incey Wincey Spider"? Probably not, but it's well worth a look!

Got the old "not played in ages" playlist out in media player, highlights so far

Roni Size - Destination - from the album New Forms, talk about an album whose critical stock has totally fallen from "cutting edge sound of now" to a bit dated now. Still good to listen to every now and then, it's a good album, if a little dry, shame the follow up was pants.

The Chemical Brothers - Star Guitar (Pete Hellers Expanded mix) - choon!

Gui Borratto - Beautiful life - I have no idea who this guy is, it's a track thats been lurking in my collection which I probably downloaded and forgot about and only listened to it for the first time, but it's pretty good, sort of an Italdisco/tech-house thing going on if thats not too much dance sub-genre overload..

Lots and lots of Oceansize - what an awesome band.

Also, lots and lots of Tubelord - a little band from London that are currently blowing me away. A lot.

Bat for Lashes - I was a bit late picking this up, but such a great album.

Berlitz Teach Yourself Italian - I'm going to Italy on honeymoon in 2 months. I can't speak any Italian.

hauschka - the prepared piano (last but one album of f**ked up piano compositions from this german fella)
chequerboard - penny black (bought this because everyone is raving about it... it's very very lovely.... easy to listen to but maybe too easy, little bit predicatble, you know exactly where it's going next... still, a worthy purchase)
