saw the sun rise over dame street this morning at around 6.30am and if that wasn't reward enough for an early start i managed to get tickets for the first night of this residency.

Was there much of a queue by the way ?

I was 7th in the queue by getting there about 7.50 a.m...so managed to get a pair of tickets x 2 different nights which was the limit. When I was leaving just after 9, I reckon there were maybe about 70 in the queue? Some people were going back to the end of the queue to try getting more by giving a different name/number, not sure how they got on.
You're right there wasn't a whole lot of publicity about it outside the REM website, it was just fluke that I checked my email late last night + there had been a mail sent around 7p.m. All the online tickets were well gone by last night.
Hopefully should be worth the effort anyway!

at 6.30am there were two people in the queue...thankfully we drove in so could monitor things from the rear view mirror whilst nursing some coffee and croissants. by 8am there were around ten people and by 9am around thirty...

not sure if there are any left but you could just give the box office a bell, a friend texted me around an hour ago and there were still tickets for 3 nights left in relatively good numbers. however there was also a lengthy queue
