Niamh has never made an effort to hide her love of folksy folk. What started as a fascination with Jim Croce evolved years later into a complete adoration of Sufjan Stevens. Having a folky singer-songwriter dad influenced much of her music taste, though her other interests, dubstep and drum'n'bass, don't regularly feature as part of her dad's repertoire. As a shy guitarist and singer, she hopes to someday overcome stage fright. Niamh's first dalliance with writing came about when she was nine years old and penned the beautiful lyric: 'The Fianna Fail and the Dail / are driving me up the bleedin' wall.' Needless to say neither her political opinions nor her writing have changed radically since.
