In exile since early 2005, Aidan lives in Chateau French Letter, official residence of the CLUAS Foreign Correspondent (Paris). As CLUAS F. C. (P.) he writes about French alternative music; competition isn't fierce in this sector of the publishing industry. His formative musical experience was a part-time job involving long lonely hours with only a jukebox for company. 'Dancing Queen' by Abba was number one on the day he was born and he's quite happy about this. He likes books, art, the number 17, the two chimneys at Ringsend in Dublin bay and (as one ex-girlfriend put it) is very 'emotional' about sport. He also runs marathons, an endurance sport on a par with writing about French music. (He emphasises that he doesn't wear skintight stretch-Lycra in either of these activities.)
