Anyone here go along to the Future Days gig last night? Low were tremendous, a surprisingly ferocious set, scarily intense in a couple of places. Alan Sparhawk screaming into the pickups of his guitar isn't something I ever thought I'd see.. Atlas Sound was a bit disappointing, too much vague ambience that never really cohered into anything substantial, plus he was practically invisible crouched down over his gear (EDIT- apparently he was sick with bronchitis, so this might explain the subdued performance). The opening act (Holy Roman Army I think) were decent enough, touches of 'shoegaze', airy vocals and electronic beats.
