I saw them - years ago - supporting the sleepy jackson in whelans. One of the most memorable gigs ever..... they is such oddballs!

Must try get to this, we played a gig with Adam Greene last year and the drummer of his band was raving about these guys saying they were the best band he had heard in years.

yea they'e really kitshy and have songs about yknow... yer day t day stuff like Golden Showers and Gay Sex Parks...hil-ar-ious. Deadly tunes tho....

I've not heard the new record, but the one I have (their first, I think) is pretty ace and so very, very danceable. I can't wait to see them next week!

I saw them last night in Union Chapel. They were incredible - beautiful string arrangements (two violins and cello), lots of random percussive fun, dancing in the church aisles, perfect joyous bouncy indie pop. Sometimes their layers of guitars, keyboards, glockenspiel, classic indiepop drumming and strings remind me of Distant Plastic Trees-era Magnetic Fields which is a Very Good Thing Indeed!
