His new album which is out here next week. You can stream it from the website www.ryan-adams.com. I downloaded from file sharing and am very impressed! I liked Rock n Roll okay even if the Dublin gig was pretty poor except for Love is Hell songs. (think it was just Monsters) Cold Roses is quite like heartbreaker. It's a double LP. Can see a good few of the songs becoming favs after a few listens. Anyone else hear it??

It's in the shops now for about €21.99. It's Ryan Adams & The Cardinals and is his first release of the year (expect another two albums, one of which will be produced by Ethan Johns). He will be touring extensively worldwide throughout the year so if he doesn't make the Oxegen line-up then expect a Dublin date soon after. Fiddlechick, I think the song you were referring to is 'I See Monsters'. Also if you like Ryan Adams, I would encourage anyone to check out the stuff he did with 'Whiskeytown' and avoid the side project 'The Finger'.

Yes I've all the Whiskeytown albums - faithless street being my fav. Didn't realise it was out here - wasn't in hmv earlier this week. The 2 other solo releases should be good - love ethan johns - he's brill producer.

Ive heard 2 tunes off Cold Roses and was very impressd. Ive been looking forward to it big time as a friend of mine is a music jurno and heard the album a month or so back and loved it, and even he's know to be a little cool on Ryan's stuff.

two thumbs up, have been listening to it all weekend, highly recommended, especially for any fans of Heartbreaker and Gold. After that awful Rock & Roll album (and the truly woeful olympia show), he seems to have taken a cold shower, eaten a square meal and got his act together.

I didn't like the single but I've heard the album once in full in the car today and I'm quite impressed.

It does remind a bit of 'Heartbreaker', although with a more fuller sound due to The Cardinals being onboard. Few more listens and I reckon I'll be hooked.

Cheers Gar. Considering I have only heard Pneumonia, which album would you recommend I get next, should I just start at the beginning or is it worth being lazy?

Pretty tough to locate the first two but 'Stranger's Almanac' is quite good so I'd say go for that.
