| Thought it would be a good thread to start - just to highlight some great records that people may have missed.
I shall kick things off: The Organ Grab That Gun Too Pure records 2006
One of my absolute favourite records of the past few years (and maybe ever) is 'Grab That Gun' by The Organ. Released in 2004, it more or less passed me by until last year (it was released worldwide in Feb 2006) when I picked it out of a mountain of CDs at home and started listening to it again. It's just such a great record; so atmospheric, kind of an Interpol / miserable Sleater-Kinney / Joy Division vibe. It's a brilliant album, and I would advise anyone who doesn't have it to pick it up.
The band have since split up, but the ex-bassplayer Shmoo has a demo up on http://www.myspace.com/diecowboydiecowboydie | | | |

All reasonably big but you don't ever hear much about them in forums. | | "When I was young I wanted to change the world, now I just want to leave the room with a bit of dignity" - Anon
