You've gotta love a band as against the grain and nuts as the Knife.

This morning I ave been mostly been listening to Daft Punk "Human after All"

I haven't heard this in ages, Donal Dineen used to play it all the time.

it's just superb... 62 minutes of the most wonderfully accessible improvised solo piano music you could hope to hear... it makes a mockery of genres as well...

Just listening to Miss Kittin - Batbox for the first time (I've got a shedload of other stuff I've bought but not listened to properly too), it's a bit underwhelming initially and you start thinking this album could be the disappointment of the year, but then it starts to hit its stride and it's a great. I've a feeling it could be a real grower of an album too. Doesn't break much new ground, If you're already a fan, you'll like it, if you don't like Miss Kittin (freak! ) then I doubt it will convince you to change your opinion.

Other albums that got a bit of spin last night

Lily Frost - Cinemagique: pleasant but not exactly riveting stuff, got bored half way through.
Disco not Disco 3 1974-1986: sure, the post punk thing has been done to death these days, but it's good to hear the orignals, some good stuff on here.

hood - outside closer...

...and so that i could live up to my stereotype...

songs in the key of 'z' volume 1... a truly magnificent and very strange compilation of outsider music...

I didn't buy the album - the version of "Common People" set off alarm bells for me... is the rest of it more like that or more like "Hasn't Happened Yet"?

The 'oul links are handy! That band aren't too bad, though the delivery of the vocals could be a bit better & I'd definitely would've done some additional treatment on them at the production stage. But, promising stuff.

They could do with a bit of a biog aswell!
