I'm thinking Clint Mansell for Pi R squared. I also really like Badly Drawn Boy's Soundtrack for About A BOy, pity about the film.

Rachel Portman for Emma. Not the best adaption (but what could improve on the book??) but the music is so deliciously appropiate.
