| Following on from dIg! last month, you should check out Overnight, in the IFI/IFC.
Watch how a confident jackass leadsinger, turns into a megalomaniac physco leadsinger ... as will inevitably happen all leadsingers 
Miramax buy his filmscript, he gets to direct, & part of the deal is that his band get to do the soundtrack.
Then just sit back & chuckle, as it ALL falls apart.

A little from column A & a little from column B.
It is a fine insight into how (some of) the Movie & Music Industrys works ... No-one touching the hottest film 'cos someone says so ... Bands getting signed without a note being heard ... Inner band conflict ... People believing their own hype ... Movies getting buried out of spitefulness.
The last ten minutes are the funniest I've seen in a long time,the drunken rant in the recording studio, & then the morning after is sublimely funny. | | | |
