| | Early this morning, I was listening to the usual breakfast radio drivel while getting up and in my half asleep state I heard something about a copy of U2s forthcoming album "Vertigo" (working title) going missing while they were on a publicity photoshoot. Apparently they are worried that it will end up being distributed on the net (its almost guaranteed to be out there already if it has been stolen). Anyone know anything about this story? | | | |

I remember news reports a few years ago that said that early master tapes of 'achtung baby' had been stolen and bootlegged.

Something just didn't add up, I mean why would they take a copy of the album to a photoshoot, surely it should be locked away in some safe somewhere? Didn't Bono have the lyrics (contained on a laptop I believe, oooh theres posh) from the last album stolen or lost or something as well?

I was working in a pub Friday and Saturday night, and at least 10 groups of people were having the same conversation – what about U2’s new album going missing.
