So says Por La Carretera.

They're touring the UK from 20-31 October, so it's likely.

He said something about a gig around that time at Oxegen, so maybe. I hope so, they're fantastic.

I like them. Have had the record a while and saw them at Oxegen, it was a performance that ran a close second to Holy Fuck for me. Two totally different bands obviously but VW certainly know how to write a catchy tune.

where have they came from though, first i heard of them was watching Glastonbury and they had a massive crowd singing along to all the songs and I was thinking what planet have I been on who are these guys! I haven't heard them on the radio or anything. Watched some of their set at Oxegen before heading to see Amy, they sounded alright but nothing amazing. I need to listen to the album obviously. Again though how are they so popular? The Tings Tings overflowed that tent which is no surprise since they are being played to death on the radio even if the songs are catchy rubbish.

Blogs started picking up on them late last year.

Does anybody know if the Ambassador gig on Oct 23rd is sold out? Ticketmaster is just saying 'currently not on sale' but I heard that they might have gone on sale last saturday morning...

I detest this band with a passion. Self-satisfied, bland insipid tripe.

i actually quite like them. got the album a few months ago. there's some really good stuff on it. a lot of people seem to hate them. i know it took me a few listens to get into the album but i can't see anything too offensive about them.

yeah, i think that gig sold out pretty quickly. i didn't even realise they were going to be playin
