| It's great but I appear to be in the minority of people who weren't blown away when he played here.
Back in October, I think I'll be at Okkervil River that night instead.

| Oh f**k, it's not the same night as Okkervil River is it? Shit, will have a spare for either gig then. Who to see? | | | |

| | Phew - false alarm. OR play on November 7th and Bon Iver plays on Oct 7th and, yes, you really should go see Bon Iver. Wonderful gig. | | | |

| | I have very little time for male singer-songwriters and I was a bit dubious about Bon Iver as the hype about him seemed a bit OTT but I checked out his stuff online and bought the album immediately. It's incredible...a real, genuine modern masterpiece. I've listened to it a few times each night for the last 12 nights in a row or something. Last track 're:stacks' is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I've heard in years. Missed the live gig though. Will make up for it in October. | | | |

| I bought For Emma... a few weeks back and it's a stunning piece of work. I think Skinny Love is my favourite track, though Re: Stacks is beautiful.
Bought it on vinyl and the recording seems a little fuzzy (for want of a more technical term), but I suppose that's probably part of its charm. | | Made you look

Yeah very lo-fi feel to it. Most of the record is from the recordings he did in a cabin and then there's bits and pieces like the horns that were overdubbed in a proper studio.
Here's a daytrottoer session that they did.
