Yep, the thrills are irish, but i sense a small bit of resentment to them becuase of the route they took to stardom..noteably, bypassing the irish scene. But thats their choice... But coming back to ireland and expecting to be treated like rawk stars, thats just annoying.. cane141 are scottish but based in galway, so, surrogate Irish. They are a good band though.

I think duncan and klootfan lists with king sativa ,ruby horse ,warlords of pez ,the jimmy cake, mumblin deaf ro and jinx lennon included.A festival on its own indeed.

Im a frames fan myself so let me state my disappointment that they not plying this year and i cant make it to Lisdoonvara. I only saw king sativa once when they played with the frames, damien rice, damian dempsy at the cluas gig last year. no doubt they are s**t-hot live and would definitely bring something to the festival but i'd also love to see jimmy cake as well though maybe thatd be too much sleepy stuff! theyll probably just get more british acts on in the end though.

What we should do instead of naming loads of different bands is get behind one or two and campaign for them. As above I propose jimmy cake and king sativa? what ya say?

Please not the Jimmy Cake - they are sooooo boring, plus they'll just bring all their mates and there will be no room for anyone at Witnness with there being 29 or so in the band.

Just saw Hi-Rise, the Things, Jalopy and Freaky Stylee recently and was well impressed by all. Add them to my previous requests of Clouded Mouse/The Mouse, Listo, The Subtonics, King Sativa and the Republic of Loose/Jonny Pyro.

Ya we all know there are alot of good Dublin bands out there right......but why is it that the bulk of everything that turns out to be decent comes from Cork...is it the murphys...who knows But I think that Fred(brilliant live band)Alan Swanwick and the God fearing folk, and Shambeunos should all be asked to play in some forms for the Wittness yoke, we cannot stand for this Dublin takeover bid its not right...I think its fear of hearing something different that scares Dubliners away... Make the revolution happen Dubliners...dont be exclusive
