Enjoyed a brilliant New Year's Eve gig from Damien Dempsey in Whelans. What I want to know though is: Who was the guy who did a solo acoustic support just before DD came on ? Did a brilliant version of Jeff Buckley's cover of "Hallelujah". His own songs sounded class. Didn't catch his name though. Said he was playing in Whelans again on the 7th but I just checked their listings and there's nothing there.
