I heard an announcement on Phantom FM this morning about a "new" song from the Happy Mondays. Are the Mondays the latest band to jump on the reformation...er...bandwagon ? What's next ? Dave Grohl and Chris Novoselic to tour Nirvana's Greatest Hits with fuc*ing Ian Astbury on lead vocal duties ? *shudders*

The Happy Mondays have been "reformed" for a few years now. I have vague memories of them playing Slane, or somewhere, a few years back with some fella in a mask pretending to be Bez.

It's only a matter of time before the Stone Roses (in whatever guise) reform. Just try and look surprised, ok?

Jesus Christ.....Shaun Rider reminds me of Junior Soprano in the second series...he still thinks he has it and nobody around him has the balls to tell him to stop.....Only that he too needs the money....

Well, by all accounts, things have changed in the world of Mr.Ryder. He's totally clean for the first time and doin well apparantly. They have a new album coming out and their shows arent embarrassing anymore, I hear. Performance-wise at least. Tho Bez still doin his thing at his age is probably pushing it....

There's a Ryder interview in Uncut this month.

Reckon they read about the Mondays' reunion and thought, "If it's good enough for them, it's good enough for me...."

I'll get me coat.

Jaysus, The Happy Monday's have reformed more times than the bad guy from Terminator 2! Remember seeing them play on their re-union tour in the SFX many moons ago and even then Sean Ryder was reading from an autocue.

"Walk onstage", "Sing", "Stop singing" ...that type of thing?
