| I doubt it. I just got their mail out, no mention of it. Mainly about the film, & their European & American tours coming up.
Maybe its confusing his occasional solo career as leaving the band ... He is currently touring (sans Frames) with the czech girl from The Sweel Season.

| The Frames without Hansard would kinda be like Crazy Horse without Neil Young. I'd be surprized if he left.
Here's my favorite Glen/Frames joke:
Q: What is the collective noun for a group of singer-songwriters? A: A Hansard.
(Can't really take credit for it, think it was Jim Carroll's?)

| | Exactly, he couldn't leave The Frames, he is The Frames, would be the end of the band. As said I guess they just mean his solo project. | | | |

| | i believe there are solo projects being worked on by the frames lead guitarist and fiddle player as well... we'll see what the others are made of with those releases... | | | |

| | Nah, he's not leaving, I've read lots of interview saying the very opposite. Colm Mac Con Ionmaire's solo violin stuff is amazing, he did some at a recent Frames gig in Vicar street and did support for Eoin Dillion a few weeks ago. Rob Bochnik the guitarist has a solo album out imminently. I'd say they'll keep at the band though. | | | |

| | What? well, everyones entitled to have different taste in music of course, but god, have you ever been at a frames gig, the feckin brillant and varied music along with the fun and good energy in the room are something else. I think they are great, love the violin combined with amazing guitar and lyrics, each to his own...... | | | |

| I have been to Frames gigs in the distant past, good live despite endless between song rambling, but their fans started scare me after a while. You kept thinking any minute now the Cult of the Ginger One are gonna pass around the cyanide kool-aid. No idea what the atmosphere at a Frames gig is like nowadays though.
