Road Records for buying s**tloads of CD's.
Almost any pub, any night for singer songwriters that aren't anywhere near as good as Elliot Smith.
Pubs/Clubs: Whelans every night for mainstream indie
Antics in Crawdaddy on Wednesday for whatever the NME is pushing this week.
Pandamonium in the Hub 3 Thursdays a month for better stuff (coughhack I'm guest DJing there this Thursday)
Anseo on Camden St.
Karma on Wednesday nights, some mates of mine are starting a residency this week (cheap booze)
The Village on Monday's.
Arrgh, what's that place across the road from Whelans? Not remembering the name will kill me.

Speaking of Carnival, did anyone else ever hear that before it was a venue, there was a flat upstairs shared by Glen Hansard & Mic Christopher?

Not quite ... They had a flat over the Harcourt Hotel.
