| | I downloaded Declan O'Rourke's 'We didn't mean to go to sea' MP3 and have had it on a continuous-play loop for several hours now. I find this song achingly beautiful, and I'd like to know more about the artist (other than what's on Cluas). Yet, I can find little information using the typical Internet search engines, save the Cluas entries and an outdated concert listing here and there.
Does any one have more information on Declan? Like, does he have a recording contract pending? An album out?
Any information is appreciated.

i've only seen declan once and he was absolutely fantastic,what a voice.every one of his songs is at least as good as WDMTGTS.there was one in particular about a guy who is in love with a girl in his dreams and he's cursing the birds for waking him up in the morning...probably doesnt sound as good as it was.anyway, i saw him in molloys in dublin at an open mic night,i dont know if he performs there regularly.i know that he's played in whelans a couple of times, and he apparently has an album on the way too.that's all really, hope it helps.

Unfortunately, I won't get to see him perform unless I take a transatlantic flight; I live in Seattle, Washington. Instead I shall eagerly await any recorded music he has to offer, including any new MP3s and his upcoming album (very good news, that.) I trust that Cluas will promote the album when it's a reality. :)
