| | Jebus, what is with Astral Weeks always showing up in these lists. A good album I grant you but vastly over rated to my mind. Is it just me or do other people find that virtually every record collection you flick through has a copy but it is very seldom played?

| | I couldn't decide but ones I'm listening to at the moment are Kila, and Freddie White. Not to forget Rory Gallagher. Can't get hold of Heartworm at all in Dublin. Any clues? | | | |

| | Jeremy - I'm not a hardcore Van fan although I rate him very highly. Most of the times I have seen him live he has been inspirational. However, I do think Astral Weeks is the musical equivalent of Ulysees - you can be guaranteed that most people who say they rate it have not listened to it all that much.
Astral Weeks is a fascinating album given his age when released and the era (1968). However, I do believe that Van's work as a whole is impressive rather than any individual album, hence the incredible popularity of that compilation album (whose name escapes me at the moment).
