Anyone at the gig last night.

I thought it was a cracking gig, defin one of the best gigs i was ever at.

The only disappointment was that they didnt play anything of the first 2 albums, but thats just a minor fault.

Highlights were probably, Daughter of the Soho Riots and The Geese of Beverly Roads.
The gig also featured some crowd-surfing by Matt during Mr November at the end of the 1st encore.

i was there...

...i thought it was good without ever reaching the heights of great...

...i love the albums but i'm not convinced the live show added anything more... and in the midst we lost a bit of the drums in the mix and also his vocals now and again...

...but yeah, it was good...

When the crowd took over the singing at the end Bryce broke out in one of the biggest grins I've ever seen.

No bulls**t, considering how awkward and ill at ease with being on stage Matt seems sometimes I found the sight of him stepping over the barrier into the crowd and when they put him back down hugging his way back to the stage quite moving.

Yeah, twas a great gig alright. Just one great song after another-they have so many, so there was no boring bits or mid-set slump, etc.It just got better and better as it went on. Only disappointment for me was that they didn't play 'Guestroom' (I think, or did they?) which is a highlight for me off Boxer. Also the drumming was very muted or something. 'Mr.November' and 'Mistaken for strangers' were fantastic. Very normal, unassuming guys who's hard-work over the last ten years has really paid off. It helps that their last two allbums are absolute corkers though. Couldn't make out a word Matt was saying between songs, mind, but a nifty crowdsurfer all the same!
