Just got Broken Boy Soldiers today after one listen it is sounding quite splendid. I was worried that it would be V ordinary because I didn't think Steady As She Goes was overwhelming, but the title track is fantastic. Pretty eclectic sound over all - big Beatles vibe overall. Anyone else got it?

Damn! How did you guys get ahead of the posse on this one? I'm obviously much further out of the loop than i originally thought! Really looking forward to this release and great to hear such positive vibes at this early stage. A tour would be great. I see Jack White's tune for Coca-Cola is about to be launched. yeah, Level is great, Intimate Secretary might be one of my faves too. Haven't heard anything about a tour over here. They played a few of shows in England I think, but unless they're added to festival dates over here, I'd be surprised if they play.

Not heard the album yet, but Steady As She Goes sounds like it could have been released by the Chocolate Watch Band circa 1966. Undecided as to whether that's a good or a bad thing.

Have listened to it a few times and am not overly impressed with it, far to much Brendan Benson and not enough Jack White for my tastes. Had to keep checking that i was listening to the right album. Though in saying that it is well worth a listen.

like that quote at the end from Jack White... "Me, I always expect good reactions."
