| | Just got Bering Strait, a Russion bluegrass band's eponomously named album, who don't sound particularly Russian except for one song Porushka Paranya which I think is fantastic.
I love the sound of Russian and would like to get into some other Russian artists but would like some recommendations.

| | Not really up on me Russian Music, But The Wedding Present had an album out a long time ago that was Ukranian music . I think one of the members decended from there. No idea what the name of it was I'm afraid as it was in Ukranian (so was the track list).

The album is the deleted, 'Ukrainski Vistupi V Johna Peela'
A second album was subsequently released on cd.

| | I don't know where you would get these in Ireland (maybe in some Eastern European shops, they usually have some videos and cds behind the counter) but the bands I like are DDT, Nautilus Pompilus (not sure if it's sleplt right) and Aquarium. Aria are very popular but I don't know their music.
Also, I lived in Belarus for a while, so I'd suggest NRM too. | | | |
