I warmed up for him last Saturday at 110th Street in Galway. He was doing a three deck set with his brother Kuya. They blew the f*cking roof off the place. They're really nice guys too. Did he do that thing where he mixes Cyndi Lauper into Timo Mass and then mixes that into Rick James? That was definatley the highlight of the Galway set for me.

Yup pretty sure Cyndi Lauper featured, but he opened with hendrix, thought that was pretty class. Say supporting him was pretty cool, he had the place absolutely heaving , quality.

There were about 5 or 6 blokes in The Avalanches. Dexter was just 1 component of an incredible outfit? Avalanches were fantastic: remind me of my time in Australia 2000/01 when word was spreading around Melbourne about them. 'Since I left You' is a masterpiece. In fact, I'm gonna play it this evening... They split up leaving us all begging for more.....

The Avalanches are still a going concern. They've remixed Wolfmother and Franz Ferdinand already this year. They've just shed a few members that's all. I don't know where you'd get that Sorcerer's Apprentice tune. Wasn't Cut Chemist doing that mix in the DVD? You could try contacting him through Myspace or his website.
