Yep, saw them live in NY in June just gone. Really stirring stuff. Sam Beam played some tracks on his own, then some with full band then some with him and Sarah and full band again. All of his albums/Eps are worth investigating but his latest one 'In The Reins' with Calexico would be a good a place as any to start off with.

Have you heard his version of Such Great Heights by the Postal Service? I'd say you'd like it.

I haven't heard the thing he did with Calexico but I really like the first album.

yeah, saw them in whelans in 2004 - lovely stuff altogether... ...they're one of those bands that i automatically pick up their next record without having to hear it... they've got progressively less lo-fi as they've gone on... apart from the 2 albums, don't forget the ep's - all wonderful

fantastic albums. Haven't got the one with Calexico yet as I've gone off Calexico in recent months - really liked Feast of Wire when I got it first but now have no interest in it! Have Woman King, the Iron and Wine EP from earlier this year - all the albums/EPs are so consistently fantastic.
