| | OK, so this is pretty cool.
The buzz goes like this...
..Pet Sounds is currently running a competition to give an unsigned Irish band the chance to play support to Sonic Youth/Chemical Brothers in Marlay Park on August 19th.
If ye could vote Delorentos whichever night he plays them (possibly tonight, possibly Wednesday), it'd be rather great... The track in question is called Leave it On.
I wish the audio clips on the Pet Sounds voting page yoke were working but they ain't so...
He'll be going through the whole thing each night on the show, probably, so you'll get the jist.
Cheers
Fiona

sorry, i actually genuinely didn't mean to sound like I was suggesting anything.
Just got a bit dizzy with emotion. It's hard being thick.

Was just 'raising my handbag' after what happened here the other day.

| Fair play to everyone who texted in on Tuesday night. They got through with 77pc. They really appreciate it.
Now I know I know it's really cheeky to ask again but the fact is, this is a real dog's dinner of a competition, and it's got more layers than I don't know what. Soo...if you're listening tonight (Thursday), there'll be three bands up, including Delorentos....if you like em, then it'd be great if you vote just to see them through.
It's crap having to get people to do this again but it's a very long-winded competition. These radio folk have awful big brains it seems.
Thank you very very much.

Well, no, see, with a parfait, you can slip through the layers easily with a plastic spoon. To get through these layers, you'd need some manner of a-bomb. Or, yknow, a shovel.
