| I laughed until I choked last night as I watched the endless weeks of judgement, opinion, voting and god knows what else go up in flames as the Milky Bar Kid and his mum, got voted off after competing against an army of uber babes and A List cabaret cheese. Ha Ha Ha ! The Irish duo came across like a pair of farm hands at a hen night in CopperFace Jacks.
All you guest experts, you know nought ! Nought !
As for the excerable crap penned by Karl Broderick, here is what Dr Harry Witchel, a physiologist and music expert at the University of Bristol, thinks are the top ten Eurovision songs of all time (Guardian News Service).
Dr Witchel's best Eurovision songs
1 Abba, Waterloo (1974), Sweden
2 Celine Dion, Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi (1988), Switzerland
3 Sandie Shaw, Puppet On A String (1967), UK
4 Teach-In, Ding-A-Dong (1975), Netherlands
5 Bobbysocks, La Det Swinge (1985), Norway
6 Bucks Fizz, Making Your Mind Up (1981), UK
7 Salome, Vivo Cantando (1969), Spain
8 Johnny Logan, Hold Me Now (1987), Ireland
9 Dana, International Diva (1998), Israel
10 Charlotte Nilsson, Take Me To Your Heaven (1999), Sweden

| Only managed to catch the results at the end, but yeah, the only thought going thoughts my head as it became clear that Ireland wasn't going through were:
(in no particular order)
1. Yay, the RTE budget is safe.
2. Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha....
3. Phwoar, eastern european babes..
Norways entry is really scary, its been described as looking like a cross between Kiss and the Village People, seems disturbingly accurate.
I beleve that the result means that "Your a Star" is finished. Ah well, it was briefly entertaining, but theres only so much entertainment you can get out of the public chasing its karaoke dreams. Maybe next year we shold just have a competition where we send of one of our myriad singer songwriters with their own song. It would be as good an excuse as any to ship one of 'em out of the country for a while

| | Anyone heard Sinead O'Connor covering "All kinds of Everything". Proof enough that she's lost the plot. | | | |
