| | The 'Assassaination Of Richard Nixon' is ok. Reminded me alot of 'Taxi Driver' but with a slower pace to it and its basically just Penn for the whole film. Worth a look but maybe on dvd. | | | |

| | Yeah, saw '.............Nixon' today. Profoundly depressing. Starts downbeat then just goes down and down!! Very good though. Penn is brilliant. Restrains himself, doesn't reach for the over-act button and is all the better for it.
If yr looking for good horror rent 'The Grudge' No, hold on !! It's scary as f**k!!!

| | Penn is very good in Nixon but the film is turgid stuff indeed. Man loses everything, declines into depression with horrendous results. I did wonder why this story needed to be told. That said, I did watch it at 10:30 AM last Sunday morning, not exactly a chipper start to the day. | | | |
