| | I've just pulbished the lowest scoring review yet to make it on CLUAS. Yes, check out Jules review of Erin McKeown's recent gig in The Village. He scores her 1 out of 10. Check the review out here:

Anybody at the gig? If so do you agree with Jules' take on her performance?

| "...I have never heard a guitar made to sound like a baking tray dropped repeatedly on a stone floor before. As for the voice, it takes a certain kind of talent to sing off key consistently. Even the Muppets on ‘You’re a Star’ manage to hit the odd right note occasionally........"

Thats a talent, i want to hear more people who can make a guitar sound like that.
Its easy to make a guitar sound like a guitar sure even the muppets on your a star can do that.

I gotta ask the same question, how come you went to the gig when we already know you aren't exactly fond of the artist in question? Get dragged along or just decide you didn't have enough irritation in your life?

| | 2 small problms with the review:
1. I actually think "queen of quiet" is a decent little tune.
2. HOW DARE YOU BESMIRCH ZIG AND ZAG, you'll pay Jackson, one day you'll pay.
Otherwise I really enjoyed it, could feel the hate. On the basis of point 1 I went to see her play the acoustic tent at Glasto 2003, I left after about 4 minutes.

| | its a bit harsh considering the love and adulation moany bastards like damo rice gets.
erin is inoffensive and actually quite a decent guitarist (for a girl :o) but tis true, it's all me me me. i woke up and did this, i felt like that, i'm so happy, i'm so sad. erin has a few catchy dittys. she is no dylan. shes pop dressed in indiekid gear.
i enjoy her as background music and sunday afternoon hangover music.
