| | Ever buy an album out of hype or a review that you read and then ignore it after one, maybe two listens? Then whenever that album is brought into a conversation, you frown at its inability to entertain or grab you. While it gathers dust in the darkened corner of your colelction, you eventually give it another chance. For some odd reason, you become charitable and allow the cd one last chance. And without you expecting it, it hits you like a thunderbolt. The quality of the album hooks you and you feel stupid for abandoning it for so long. Anyone ever do that?

Got a copy of it years ago and it lay buried under an old L7 album (remember them?) for more years. Gradualy it's risen to the top of the pile, and now it's a top 5 desert island disc. | | | |

Patton is a legend alright. Some great music. Tomahawk are excellent - his solo albums are very odd but get the odd spin on the iPod nonetheless. | | | |

Patton is a legend alright...excellent - his solo albums are very odd but get the odd spin on the iPod nonetheless.
yeah i got some fantomas stuff, very hard to digest. I thought Radiohead had brought things far out, but I was very wrong. He is a great artist though cos he just doesnt seem to give a flute what anyone thinks of what he does once he's happy with it. The Lovage CD is great too, dont know who else is on it but Patton does vocals. His work rate is pretty absurd in fairness. Alot of Madonna covers on the 'net apparantly! | | | |
