"James Guilmartin is an intense performer who sings and plays guitar with mountains of passion and conviction. His solo offering ´The Breadcrumb Trail´was a worthy forerunner to band versions of ´Break The Spell´and ´All The Dogs Are Howling Their Own Tune´. The former is appropriately hypnotic and his soloing in both takes you to places most acts only dream of. ´Wise Up´has echoes of sixties East Coast American rock and fluid eastern melodies, but without the pomposity."Jackie Hayden(hotpress)
ep review 2008
"It was intriguing to hear an artist willing to explore new areas beyond the standard rock band format... I was particularly drawn to two aspects of it. The instrumental passages give it a kind of distinctiveness that sets it apart from the mainstream of contemporary rock, and the vocal harmonies are also highly impressive.A lot of what I hear on the CD suggests that James is a very interesting lyricist."Jackie Hayden(hotPress)
