Destined to be just a good singles band? I don't own any of their albums but I've enjoyed some of their singles - 'I Like Music' is a cracking tune.

You mean moosic don't you?

Awful stuff - 'I said no I want steak, I want wine, I want cake and you just have to make it happen my dear.'

*puke smiley*

Made you look

Is it just me, or does the singer remind anyone else of an extra from Planet of the Apes?

they're a better albums band than a singles band. The singles don't do them justice - even though they are good tunes, they're not really like what they really are as a band. The radio play they get doesn't represent them.

Anyway, in conclusion, great band, probably the best live Irish band around.

It's throwaway stuff - scarcely appeals because of its lyrical content. Cracking tune.

Get the Aaagh! album. Really good I thought. Loads of great tunes, great production by Gareth Mannix.

Haha, I've been wondering who the hell that "moosic" band is seeing as I always miss who its by as I only listen to Phantom when I get up and am semi-concious, sorta sounds like a bad Fun Lovin Criminals rip by someone who actually took FLC seriously. It stands out because it sort of jars with the rest of the usual phantom playlist, which may or may not be a good thing in fairness. It's definitely an earworm though, gets in your head and just stays there all day. It's going round in my head now, damnit. AAAARRRGGGHH, must purge...

I like em. Not exactly reinventing the wheel but they're bloody good live.

Don't know how its happened, but i still havent had the chance to see em live yet. Thought the first album was great, and the second album was pretty damn decent but a little patchy, havent heard the third one yet. Really don't like the new single though, that chorus does my head in, it seems almost schmalzy and ya gotta wonder why.

He does have a way with words though.

yeah I like them alot. I mean, they are inventing a wheel for me personnaly, I dont like modern r'n'b (usher or whatever your having) they seem to hijack what they want from that daytime chart radio crepe and make it sound great...I like the lyrics but then I still laugh at farts, maybe I is dumb. Is I?! It's great pop like, and live they are more fun than most Irish bands I've seen.
FLC comment is totally bang on but feck it, it's still a different groove to me personally.
I would like to hear them and some decent trad guys jamming out something, but then I'm a bit silly really.
