| | Headgear, without a doubt! Absolutely stunning album. Saw them at the electric picnic and they are amazing live too! | | | |

Well then vote for it! It has zero votes as I write this... Eoghan

| | It was hard to pick just one, but I think Nervousystem (can you correct the spelling Eoghan or is it too late?) had just that little bit extra. A Lazarus Soul and Cathy Davey were the surprise albums of the year though, both breathtakingly good. Flight Cases was excellent too, only sorry I missed out on Headgear live when I was in Limerick recently. | | Made you look | |

| | Thom Yorke's "Eraser" is blatantly missing from this list.... it's far superior to "In Rainbows". | | | |

I can't change the spelling without rolling up my sleeves and going into the dark and dirty database (where I would most likely trip on a spanner and bring the whole site down). So, sorry, the misspelling will have to stay. eoghan.

| | I voted for Headgear there. I'm pretty sure I voted when I left my first comment, but it never registered. It's a conspiracy I tell you! | | | |

| | Just exercised the franchise there - looks like it'll be a close-run race between at least five of the list. Looking at that list (apart from one or two singer-songer-shouters on it) makes you realise that it was a fine year for Irish music. Hooray for us! | | | |

| | Em, ok so it seems I clicked the wrong button. I pressed 'Submit' instead of the big yellow 'Vote now' button. Smart. I hereby retract my hysterical conspiracy accusation! | | | |

No sarcasm intended... I much prefer Yorke's album.

| | I love 'The Eraser' too, but wasn't it released in 2006? | | | |

No, sorry. The poll software we use is quite basic and doesn't allow for that scenario. eoghan
